With a population of 8.5 million people, New York City is home to a rich culture of talent and creativity. If you want to seep into the crowd, New York welcomes you to. However, if you want to face the crowd boldly and passionately, it is all the more welcomed. One of our favorite passionate creatives, Daniel Victor, conquers the crowd one cheeky smile at a time. He faces the masses with open arms and is never late to join in on the fun, fully embodying the opportunistic ideals we love from this city. Luckily, we had an opportunity to explore the city with Daniel to chat about his experiences and advice.
Diving Deep With Daniel Victor: Q&A

Daniel, we love getting to know you from your Instagram vlogs! Is it difficult to manage social media and your personal life?
It can definitely get challenging at times (especially with having to constantly create) - but it’s doable! With everything being so fast paced now, I try to stay as present as I possibly can during the day, even when I’m vlogging or making content. What’s helped me a lot is to have “dedicated content time” that’s built into my schedule so that I know I’ll have a portion of the day dedicated to creating, and then the rest of the day I can spend trying to stay present and soak it in!
What began your fitness journey? How have you been able to stay physically active in the busy NYC city life?
Honestly? I went through a pretty rough breakup in college and wanted to get a revenge body haha! That was the start of my fitness journey and really catalyzed me wanting to learn more about the topic and become the best version of myself. Since then I’ve enjoyed trying a range of different modalities to keep fitness fun and exciting for me. A way that helps me stay active is to sign up for races and fitness events so that I always have something that I’m training for. It gives my workouts more purpose and helps me get extra motivation to get it done since there’s a goal in mind.

Do you have any advice for maintaining a healthy mind and body that you think would be helpful for other men to hear?
I forgot who said the quote “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise” but that hits it on the head! I wake up early so that I can get a head start on the day (typically with a workout) and prioritize being in bed at a reasonable time as well so I can be sharp for the next day. Consistency is key. Showing up every day and putting the work in will give you results. As long as you’re taking time to refill your cup as well, you’ll be a better version of yourself every single day.
How have you been able to express your personality in your clothing?
I’m a firm believer that what you wear is an outward expression of who you are inside. Much like your personality, your style will shift and change as you go, and that’s all the more exciting. I make my clothing decisions based on how I’m feeling that day. Some days it’s more adventurous and colorful. Other days it’s more muted and relaxed. No matter what I’m wearing, I usually have something on me that makes me feel “more” me. Whether that be some accessories, sunglasses, or even a funky pair of socks. I’ve found that having some go-to things in your wardrobe that make you feel more confident is a cheat code to always feeling more put together and “yourself”, wherever you go."
